The ZF74 Pump - Driving force behind this H12 System

Driven by the legendery quality of the german ZF hydraulic pump. For general off-road recovery use, this system offers relentless pulling power with a 10 feet/min line-speed even under full load. The genuine 4.7 tonne pull will get you out of anything, and completely out-perfoms electric winches. The pump is designed to run for 200,000 miles and consumes only 1/7th of a horsepower.

The ZF74 is manufactured by ZF Lenksysteme of to the highest possible standards and then prepared, in-house at our workshops, to provide the optimum balance in terms of flow rate and available pressure. This combination of higher pressures and flow rates provide the H12 winch with an ample and reliable power source, to ensure maximum pulling power and a useful line speed.

It can be used either as a dedicated pump or as a steering pump upgrade for some Land Rover models when a dedicated pump is not an easy option. A separate pressure relief is then needed to protect the vehicle’s power steering box against the much higher pressure on the ZF74 pump.
